Drink in the atmosphere of rural Dorset
Breathe in the healthy fresh air. Relieve your stress in our large beer garden. Enjoy our peaceful rural views towards the ancient hillfort of Bulbarrow.
We have plenty of inside seating too!
Since the 17th century, The White Hart pub has provided a focus for the community of Bishops Caundle – a small thriving village in north Dorset, close to the historic market towns of Sherborne and Sturminster Newton.
Our traditional village pub offers a warm welcome to locals and visitors to the region. We’re family-friendly, with ample outdoor space for children to play.
Freshly-cooked Pub Food
Enjoy our freshly prepared pub food, cooked to order – using locally sourced produce whenever possible – including homemade specials and Sunday roasts.
Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available.
West Country Ales and Local Cider
Our range of drinks includes specially selected West Country ales.
For cider lovers, we offer Laycock Cider, hand crafted a few miles away in Purse Caundle – and chemical-free!
A real old-time cider – the apples are hand picked and pressed in an old cider press.
