Traditional
Village Pub

Drink in the atmosphere of rural Dorset

Since the 17th century, The White Hart pub has provided a focus for the community of Bishops Caundle – a small thriving village in West Dorset, close to the historic market towns of Sherborne and Sturminster Newton.
Our award-winning, family-friendly, traditional village pub offers a warm welcome to locals and visitors to the region.

Roger & Rachel are back at The White Hart!

Following the departure of our tenants, we’re delighted to be running our much-loved village pub once again.
Join us for our lovely range of pizzas, available to eat in or take away, and enjoy the warm, welcoming atmosphere – especially by our roaring fire.

We offer free pool, dart boards, and a well-stocked bar, including White Hart Best.

Roger & Rachel have proudly owned The White Hart for 15 years, and we look forward to welcoming both familiar faces and new visitors. Check out our opening times (see foot of website) and come and see us soon. We wish one and all a very Happy Christmas and a healthy, prosperous New Year!

Real Ales, West Country cider, specially-selected wines – and more!

We’re a traditional pub, not a gastro-pub – pop by for your favourite tipple.
